Thompson died at his home in Woody Creek, Colorado, on Sunday, February 20, of an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound.

My goal with this is to get more friends interested in web-logging once they see how easy it is. Using the "BlogThis" function allows a person who is surfing to add something to the weblog without ever leaving the page. The "BlogThis" tool comes integrated with the google toolbar for IE, or as an extension for Firefox... The BBcode extension, in addition to making posting on the bulletin board easier, has an html feature (must be enabled in options) which can be used in Blogger as well.

Blogger is by google, and they also offer a great image-hosting service called Hello - the nice thing about hello is that it will send any picture straight to a weblog, and if you're a blogger member, it knows what weblogs you're a member of, so it automatically adds them (*note - Hello and Picasa go hand in hand, and when you download Hello, it will offer Picasa as well; Picasa is not necessary. Not that there's anything wrong with it, you just don't need it.)

Anyway, so to all those who were invited, give it a whirl - tell us about your craptacular, wonderful, or wonderfully craptacular day, post pictures of your navel lint, whatever. My ulterior motive is that once everyone is familiar with this, that they'll all start their own weblogs, because I get really bored reading about strangers.

Also, the layout of this page will get more interesting; this is just kind of a first draft - suggestions definitely welcomed..

Half Life 2

Just got Half Life 2 last night. After a healthy dose of 512mb more RAM, I feel compelled to say that the game is downright breathtaking.
